"When suffering is sent to a person, the Heavenly Court requires the suffering to take an oath to not go until the specified day, and to not leave the person until a specified day, in a specified hour, through a specified person, and through a specified drug. And when the appointed time has come to go out, to go . . . "   Talmud Avodah Zorah 55A

"Wheras mortal man would sweeten something bitter with something sweet,
G-d cures the bitterness with something that is bitter."
  Mechilta d'Rabbi Yishmayael

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

While Iboga has been clinically proven to eliminate symptoms of withdrawal, interrupt addiction, and help victims of post traumatic stress disorder move beyond their trauma and rebuild their lives – Iboga is not for everyone. The decision to take Iboga is a serious step that needs considerable thought. Any decision should be carefully discussed with your mental health professional, doctor, Rabbi, spouse and family.

A person needs to be very clear that they want to start their life anew - clean and free from their past trauma and resentments (and drugs). One needs to be committed to do the work to live this new life. Iboga will not change your wants, nor will it take away the required work. Without a clear decision to lead a new life, proper therapeutic preparation, and a solid after plan, one should not take Iboga.

Iboga forces one to see themselves, and to face their past. The session does not heal within itself, but shows us what work we need to do to heal and lead healthy lives. While this is therapeutically beneficial, and even the gateway to a complete healing, the experience can be overwhelming. While most everyone grows from the Iboga experience, most people find the actual session very unpleasant.

The iboga session is the beginning of the healing journey - not the end.

In addition, there is a small level of risk with Iboga treatment. Proper clinical testing of heart (EKG) and liver function (SMA-20, CBC) are the absolute minimum. Blood pressure can not be over 170 mm Hg systolic/105 mm Hg diastolic or below 80 mm Hg systolic/60 mm Hg diastolic. Pulse rate can not be greater than 120 beats per minute or less than 50 beats per minute. All other medications need to be discontinued at least one week prior to the iboga session.

Finally, while many attest to the miraculous healing results that have been seen with Iboga, including one time treatment; Iboga is not a replacement for other treatment modalities. The success of Iboga treatment depends on the Iboga session being integrated into a well rounded recovery program. Proper therapeutic after care is essential.

In addition, while Iboga IS LEGAL in most countries in the world (including Canada, Mexico, England and most of Europe, all of Central and South America, and most of Asia and Africa), one must realize that Iboga is not legal in the United States and a few other countries (Switzerland, France, and Sweden in particular). Please make sure that iboga is legal where you plan to have your session.

Finally, never take Iboga without proper supervision.
